A summary of Romeo and Juliet

A summary of Romeo and Juliet must contain the information that the play, written by William Shakespeare, is a romantic tragedy.

Two families live in a historical conflict: the Capulets and the Montecchios.

Romeo, son of the Montecchio family, and Juliet, of the Capulet family, fall in love at a masked ball.

Romeo cancels his commitment to Rosalina after falling in love with Juliet. Just like Julieta cancels her plans with Paris, boy from Verona. Romeo and Juliet, living a forbidden love, get married hidden from their families, in a celebration made by Friar Lourenço.

In a fight that leads to the death of Teobaldo, Juliet's cousin, and Mercury, the prince of the city of Verona decides to exile Romeo.

The final idea is for Juliet to take a potion that makes her look dead. Romeo, hearing the news of his wife's death, buys a substance and causes his own death. Juliet, when she wakes up, sees her beloved dead and, with a dagger, kills herself.

After the tragedy, the two families decide to make peace and live in peace.

I recommend reading this wonderful work
